Townsfolk everywhere stop their daily labor to listen to the squire’s message from the queen.

“Good people! The Sword of Ileuad has been stolen. The very sword that has protected this land for hundreds of years has been ripped from the grasp of your rightful ruler. This theft is a direct attack on the safety of our empire. The Queen beseeches her good people to help the Crown with their search for the Sword of lleuad, and is offering a large sum of gold and knighthood for its safe return. If you choose to accept this quest, arrive at the eastern edge of the Great Forest tomorrow at dawn.”

The crowd erupts into frantic murmurs. Generations have grown up with the epic stories of the Sword of Ileuad, and credit the peace in their lands to its presence in the hands of their Queen. 

The crowd slowly disperses, restless and uneasy. 

The Quest has begun.
